Laura Pomerantz

Laura Pomerantz is a Principal and founding partner of PBS Real Estate LLC. Ms. Pomerantz is a dedicated professional providing the full range of tenant representation services to her clients while working to develop solutions for their current and future real estate requirements. Prior to joining PBS, Ms. Pomerantz was a Senior Managing Director at Newmark & Company Real Estate, with senior level responsibility for major tenant representation assignments. Her extensive executive-level experience in a broad range of industries provides her with a breadth of knowledge from the corporate viewpoint in such areas as strategic and tactical planning and cost reduction analysis.

Currently, Ms. Pomerantz and her team are the exclusive representatives for Giorgio Armani in North America as well as the exclusive and national representatives for David Yurman, Shabby Chic, Ted Baker-London, Tory Burch, Vince, Stuart Weitzman, Levi Strauss and Timberland. She represents Abercrombie & Fitch in Europe as well as nationally in the U.S. She has successfully concluded over 5 million sf for these and other clients.

Awards, memberships and honors

Ms. Pomerantz serves on several business boards including G-III, a public company listed on the NYSE and the NRDC SPAC Board and serves on a private Real Estate Fund Board For Apollo Real Estate.

Ms. Pomerantz has a long record of community involvement and support of the arts. She is a member of the Carnegie Hall Board of Trustees and its Executive Committee as well as Chairman of Carnegie Hall’s Special Events Committee. She serves on the Executive Committee, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Richard Tucker Foundation. She also serves as a trustee & member of the board of directors of Women In Need.

She is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Parsons School of Design, an Advisory Director of the Metropolitan Opera Association, Inc., and a member of the Visiting Committee to the Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was a 1990 recipient of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund Equal Opportunity Award, and a 1992 inductee to the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers.

Until the end of 2003, she served on the Board of Directors of Elder-Beerman Stores, Inc., a retail department store in the Midwest with sales in excess of $600 million until it was sold.


Prior Employment

Prior to joining Newmark in 1996, Ms. Pomerantz was Executive Managing Director of S.L. Green and prior to that she was the Executive Vice President of The Leslie Fay Companies, Inc., having responsibility for supervising several of its better & designer fashion divisions. She was with Leslie Fay for over 18 years and served on the company’s Board of Directors.
